Want to join a book club but also don't want other people picking the books you read? Join Im-Promt-Tu reads!  

A book club with a twist (and a pun). Each month, you’ll get a creative prompt—then you choose the book that fits it! Whether you go classic, contemporary, or totally out of your comfort zone, it’s all fair game. You get to decide what you read. Come ready to share the title you chose, hear about others’ picks, and get inspired for your next read! It’s spontaneous, surprising, and all about the joy of reading your own way.

Starting June 2025, registration is required. Registering for one date does not register you for the rest of them, so be sure to sign up for each date you plan to attend.

Prompt list for 2025:

• June 11th:  Pride - Pick a book that is either authored by a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or one that includes LGBTQIA+ characters
• July 9th: TBR Tackle  - What book has been on your "To be read" shelf for a while? Tackle it and bring it to book club
• August 13th:  Judge a Book by it's Cover  - Pick a title that has an irresistible cover that you love
• September 10th:  Bite Size  - Read a novella / short book
• October 8th:  Terrorific Tales  - Read a book that sounds scary to you (doesn't have to be horror genre!)
• November 12th:  Native American Heritage Month  - Read a book authored by or about Native Americans
• December 10th:  Tis the Season  - Pick a book that takes place during your favorite season
