Welcome to the DigiLit series! An (optional) 4 week series that focuses on digital literacy...aka, teaching patrons valuable skills in using information technologies such as web browsers, email, the library catalog, apps, and so much more.

You do NOT have to attend all 4 weeks, as each week will cover a different topic. Please bring any passwords you may need, as well as your own device and library card. 

Week 1 - 1/8/25 - Devices. While GPPL are not personal device experts, we will try to show you basic features of common devices like phones, laptops, etc... to help you better adapt to your own device.

Week 2 - 1/15/25 - Internet & Information Basics. We'll discuss using the internet, search engines, email, and how to find trustworthy sites and sources.

Week 3 - 1/22/25 - Apps. Learn about Libby, Hoopla, Kanopy and all the ways you can read, listen, and watch from home. 

Week 4 - 1/29/25 - Internet safety. - Learn some tips & tricks to protect yourself on the internet.
