Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is bringing the Teddy Bear Clinic to Grosse Pointe Library!
Teddy bear clinics involve volunteers working with elementary-aged children to perform a “check-up” on their stuffed animals, helping them to understand what happens during a doctor’s visit and decreasing nervousness about future visits. The children will rotate through interactive stations exploring heart & lung health, bone health, nutrition, vaccines, germs, and the five senses. It’s a great opportunity to spark their interest in health and science while encouraging habits for lifelong wellness!
Bring your favorite stuffie to play the role of your patient!
Registration is required for this program.
