Patrons & friends from all walks (pun intended) of life, please join us at the Ewald branch to celebrate National Walking Month!
David Larwa will lead this program with a presentation and talk about his experience walking the Camino de Santiago, a well-known network of pilgrimage trails that lead to the shrine of the apostle James located in Spain. David has walked over 7,000 miles in the last several years (about 18 months overall) walking the Camino and has served as a volunteer (hospitalero) in Salamanca, Zamora, and Ribadiso, Spain. Recently he completed 780 miles on the Via Francigena pilgrimage walking from inside Switzerland to Rome. He would like to encourage people of all ages to attend this engaging presentation.
The session is for armchair walkers, experienced walkers, and aspiring walkers. Larwa will bring maps, books, and backpacking gear he has used for a show and tell.
