Mr. & Mrs. William B. Stratton - GP's Gilded Age Power Couple

The idiom “behind every great man is a great woman,” takes on a whole new meaning in our next historic lecture.  The focus will be on Grosse Pointe’s Gilded Age “Power Couple,” - notable architect William B. Stratton and his wife: the artist, educator and co-founder of Pewabic Pottery, Mary Chase Stratton.  Both played a significant role in the architectural development of Detroit and the Grosse Pointes at the turn of the last century, and both have very interesting stories to tell.  Please join us for this complimentary lecture presented by returning lecturer, Paula Draper to learn more about this ahead-of-their time couple.
