Author and former Grosse Pointer Erica Peplin will present her novel, Work Nights, published this summer by Simon & Schuster.  Praised by Publishers Weekly as a “witty and emotionally raw debut” her protagonist Jane works at an impressive company in an unrewarding, toxic position. The demanding, yet mind-numbing quality of entry-level work in a corporation and the odd mix of co-workers are perfectly portrayed. Jane falls for an exciting, probably straight intern named Madeline and proceeds to derail her relationship with Addy, a musician who wants a long-term commitment. Full of humor and angst as Jane struggles with work, life, and love in her twenties in New York City. Books sales and signing will follow the presentation.
