Event Details
Celebrate Earth Day by helping Snapshot Wisconsin monitor wildlife from anywhere in the world while doing an Act of Science for Citizen Science Month!
Meet the scientists behind Snapshot Wisconsin, a NASA-supported project, and learn how to identify wildlife in camera trap images to accelerate wildlife conservation research.
Gather with us at the library for this Zoom session introduction about how to participate. In this hands-on event, you’ll learn how to explore trail camera photos and use those images to spot and classify wildlife: what kind, how many, whether they are adults or young.
Great for families including upper elementary students to adults. Bringing your own device such as a laptop or tablet to sign on with for classifying will be helpful. A limited number of laptops will be available for participants who do not have a device.
Information on creating SciStarter and Zooniverse accounts will be provided at this meetup event.
