American sculptor Marshall Fredericks is celebrated for many reasons. Our community has been impacted by his talent in such works as The Spirit of Detroit, The Barbour Memorial Fountain at Belle Isle, and perhaps most beloved, the Lion and the Mouse at Eastland Mall. He dedicated his life to creative ambition and loved connecting the public with his work in real, tangible ways. But behind all of that was much more. Join presenter Leah Reblin as she delves into the experiences that shaped him and how his creativity provided light and joy in the darkest of times. This is part of the Higbie Maxon Agney lecture series.
